We're painting the top of our bottom deck (or the bottom of our top, whichever you prefer) an aquamarine color :)
Its a dry brush job, so it looks weathered...I really like it, but its soooooo tiring!!!

My theme for this week's creations is......*drumroll* HULA HOOPS:)
Ya know why?

Haha I've actually found TONS of cute stuff to do with hula hoops, so I made my lil sis come on a tandem ride with me down to dollar general, and then made her carry the hula hoop in the back of the bike( Cause the person in the back doesn't have to steer)

Don't ya just LOVE water balloons? Haha they're all fun and games until one gets thrown at you. Even worse, a sneak attack!!! So my crazy girl Katie and I biked (tandem biked to be exact!!) everywhere to find water balloons, and spent 45 minutes filling them, getting soaked in the process. Apparently, the temptation to throw a huge green pear-shaped balloon at my back was too great...
Gotta love Summer!!
Speaking of wwhich, we made a summer bucket list!! This is DEFINITELY not all of it, but its a good start:

SNAILS!!

I don't know why, but they're even on the roof....

So on Wednesday, one of my besties Madi and I are biking around  the aquare, and we go into this one shop called the Pasiley Place. We are only in there 10 minutes tops, and when we get back to the square, what do we find? GAINT PINK SNAILS!! They're hollow, but heavy plastic, and weighted down with sandbags. I don't know how they got put there so fast. It was interesting, cause everyone's first reaction was what? Take pictures of the darn things!!
Ya know what they say, when in Rome, do as the Romans do!!

Hair chalking!!

So, I was on Pinterest, and I found this super cool hair dying tutorial....

Basically, you mash up chalk and add water to make a paste, which you rub through your hair and then brush it, and voila! Colored hair :)

Its super temporary, so I only had to wash it once...and condition REALLY good afterwards, cause it dries out your hair. Just thought I'd share :)
Here's the link if you wanna be adventurous and try it yourself, this method calls for just rubbing chalk into your hair, but it seems to work just as well, if not better. If you do try this way, you should comment below and tell me how it went :)

First Blog Post!!

Okay, So I'm super excited to have a blog...I don't really know what I'll do with it, but I guess that'll be the fun part, figuring out what to post. :)
   See, I wanted the URL to have "a place in this world" in it, cause its an awesome Taylor Swift quote and I guess that's how I want my blog to be...sort of my little corner of the world, but it was taken :/

If you have't figured it out by now, I'm a MAJOR Taylor Swift fan!!
(Don't fee bad if you couldn't tell, only Swifties would see the subtle hints!)
Hmm... I don't know what else to say, but I think I'll do one of those 50 random facts about yourself lists I saw on http://www.lists-galore.com/2009/08/150-things-to-do-when-youre-bored.html  (A website I will be referencing a lot I imagine, so go check it out!)
Soo...Here goes! :)
1) My favorite color is pink!
2) I'm addicted to Pinterest.
3) I love Silver Fox Snow Cones from a little place down the street (they taste like vanilla)

5) I like drinking pickle juice :)
6) I love finding musicians on YouTube that have raw talent and small fan bases. Its just something about their potential that's inspiring and almost...mysterious. :)
7) I write song lyrics on my hand all the time. Right now, I have " You make me smile" on my left hand.
8) Though I love Taylor Swift, Country music, I like Avril Lavigne, Colbie Callait, Jack Johnson, and Maroon 5 too. I like to branch out a little bit, but if you turn on Metallica I might smack you.
9) I'm REALLY bad at painting my nails, but I do it anyways :)
10) My favorite scent is either vanilla or peaches and sandalwood, and I love the way everything smells after its just rained. (soooo original, I know, haha)
11) I'm a Harry Potter nerd.
12) My favorite meal is chicken and gnocchi soup, and gnocchi are these little potato dumplings. A lot of different cultures have them, and I'm not sure if they're Italian or German.
13) Thirteen is my favorite number...Why? Cause it's Taylor Swift's favorite number! :)

14) I absolutely adore those new mint M&M's. If you haven't tried 'em yet, you should!
15) Coolest trick ever: blow up a baloon and loosely tie a rubber band around the bottom. Write your favorite quote on it, and let it dry for a couple minutes. Then let the air out. The result is gorgeous handwriting on a balloon. Useless, but adorable.
16) I have a lot of instruments: A blue guitar, a pink violin, a purple electric violin, a regular colored violin, a keyboard that I'm painting each key ( pics soon to follow), a black mandolin, and a ukulele. I might get my little sisters old purple trumpet too :)
17) I have the most adorable kitty, and he sleeps in an old pink leopard print build-a-bear- bed.
18) I think the coolest job ever would be a choir director!!
19) I'm learning Braille, visually, and hopefully I can translate it to tactile reading later.
20) My favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough
21) This font is making me dizzy.
22) I'm getting bored of this. Maybe I'll do the other 28 later :)
